Provides monthly food purchase benefits to help eligible households buy food. Eligibility to receive benefits is based on household size, income, assets and some household expenses. The income and asset limits are determined by the federal government. Food Stamp benefits may only be used to purchase food for human consumption and seeds/plants to grow food at home. Food Stamp benefits cannot be used for: household items, grooming products, tobacco, alcohol products, pet food, etc.

Provides basic food products, such as meats, fruits, vegetables and staples at a reduced price to allow individuals and families to maximize the use of their monthly cash incomes and food stamps. The food provided comes in packages worth $30.00-$35.00 and can be purchased for $15.00, in cash or food stamps, plus a commitment to do 2 hours of community service. Assistance includes food, clothing, kitchen items available to those who are homeless, victims of fire, victims of flooding, or a resident of the Women’s Resource Center.

Nutrition program for women, infants, and children. Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30 by appointments. Provides nutritional assistance to pregnant women, postpartum women (up to 6 months after delivery), breast feeding women (up to 12 month after delivery), infants & children up to age 5. Foods available through local grocers: milk, juice, cheese, tuna, infant juice, infant cereal, infant formula, eggs, cereal, peanut butter, carrots. To qualify bring birth certificates, proof of income and address, proof of pregnancy, Social Security Cards, immunization records, and WIC ID folder if you have it. No charge for services.
Incomes levels for WIC are quite high, a family of 4 can have income of up to $671.00 per week and still qualify.

CRA partners with the Upper Kanawha Valley Community Center in Kimberly, WV to provide hot and nutritious lunches Monday - Friday to qualified individuals in the Valley area. Garden seeds are available to qualified individuals in the spring to supplement their nutritional needs. Staff partner with local agencies to instruct and provide informational pamphlets on how to can and freeze vegetables.
CRA can provide direct payments on qualified customers' utility bills, housing bills, eyeglass and prescriptions costs. CRA also administers a Handyman Program for small home improvement projects to promote home safety and accessibility.
CRA in partnership with the WVCAP purchases baby food to distribute to low- income families throughout West Virginia.
