Introducing the Fayette County Prescription Discount Card

FREE to Fayette County Residents!

Americans are paying more for prescription drugs than ever before. Without prescription coverage, staying healthy can come at a high price. With the Fayette County Prescription Discount Card provided to you in a joint effort with the National Association of Counties (NACo), you can save money on many of your prescription purchases!


Any county resident without prescription coverage can use this program. Even if you have insurance for prescription drugs, you may still benefit from the discount card, since it may save you money on prescription drugs your existing plan does not cover.

GOVERNOR AWARDS PREVENTION GRANTS TO 18 PROJECTS

Charleston, W.Va. - Governor Joe Manchin today awarded $1,800,771.00 in prevention grants - Strategic Prevention Framework State Incentive Grants (SPF SIG) - for 18 projects statewide.

"These funds will provide essential support to our communities, Gov. Joe Manchin said. "Through these grants, the local, regional and state levels will better coordinate and improve their alcohol, tobacco and other drug prevention programs. As a result, children and their communities will be healthier and more vibrant."

SPF SIG program funds are awarded from the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. The Programmatic Administrative Agent for these funds is the West Virginia Prevention Resource Center. The Fiscal Administrative Agent for these funds is the West Virginia Division of Criminal Justice Services.
