Help Save Lives!
Save a Life – Free Naloxone Day’ is an all-day event targeting overdose “hotspots” throughout Fayette County. On May 1st, you can pick up free Naloxone (aka Narcan) nasal spray for a loved one or friend at 9 locations across Fayette County.
More than three out of every four fatal overdoses in West Virginia in 2019 involved on opioid, with reports of opioid overdoses substantially increasing in 2020. Naloxone is a powerful and proven antidote for reversing opioid overdoses. Narcan is the brand name for the opioid overdose antidote, naloxone.
Family members, friends of people who take opioids for pain, friends of people who use drugs, and anyone who wants to save a life are welcome to get a free kit on May 1, 2021.
