CRA partners with the Upper Kanawha Valley Community Center in Kimberly, WV to provide hot and nutritious lunches Monday - Friday to qualified individuals in the Valley area. Garden seeds are available to qualified individuals in the spring to supplement their nutritional needs. Staff partner with local agencies to instruct and provide informational pamphlets on how to can and freeze vegetables.
CRA can provide direct payments on qualified customers' utility bills, housing bills, eyeglass and prescriptions costs. CRA also administers a Handyman Program for small home improvement projects to promote home safety and accessibility.
CRA in partnership with the WVCAP purchases baby food to distribute to low- income families throughout West Virginia. DHHR referrals.

Falls View Presbyterian Church provides a baby clothing and accessory pantry, weekly on Wednesday, from 12:00pm-4:00pm. Assistance includes clothing for children 0 to 5 years of age, accessories such as cribs and car seats (as items are available), diapers and wipes are usually available. Also partners with WIC to provide baby formula, baby food and milk. Applicant must meet WIC income guidelines and criteria to receive food and formula. Call to confirm they are open before visiting. Fayette County Emergency Food Assistance is provided for persons needing supplemental food supplies on both an emergency and monthly basis. DHHR provides monthly food purchase benefits to help eligible households buy food. Eligibility to receive benefits is based on household size, income, assets and some household expenses. The income and asset limits are determined by the federal government. Food Stamp benefits may only be used to purchase food for human consumption and seeds/plants to grow food at home. Food Stamp benefits cannot be used for: household items, grooming products, tobacco, alcohol products, pet food, etc.

Fayette County Senior Program provides delivered meals to elderly who are not mobile and are unable to leave their homes. Meals are also available on site for those who are mobile. Fayetteville Methodist Church operates a food pantry the 4th Thursday of every month, except November and December, when the pantry will be open the 3rd Thursday. No referral needed, but must live in Fayetteville or immediate surrounding area. Bring in a utility bill for proof of address. Occasional funds are available for utility assistance. Clothing Attic is open 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm. No referral needed for clothing. Utility assistance is available 1 time a year per family. A $25.00 payment will be made directly to utility company on behalf of persons requesting assistance.

The Salvation Army provides food, clothing and assistance with utility bills and some rental assistance. Applicant must have referral from DHHR to receive any of these services. This is provided as funds are available. Call for information on availability. Assistance includes food, clothing and kitchen items which are available to those who are homeless, victims of fire, victims of flooding or a resident of the Womens Resource Center.

TSN/WIC offers a nutrition program for women, infants, and children. Monday-Friday from 8:30am-4:30pm by appointment. TSN/WIC provides nutritional assistance to pregnant women, postpartum women (up to 6 months after delivery), breast feeding women (up to 12 month after delivery), infants & children up to age 5. Foods available through local grocers: milk, juice, cheese, tuna, infant juice, infant cereal, infant formula, eggs, cereal, peanut butter, carrots. To qualify bring birth certificates, proof of income and address, proof of pregnancy, Social Security Cards, immunization records and WIC ID folder if you have it. No charge for services.
Incomes levels for WIC are quite high, a family of 4 can have income of up to $671.00 per week and still qualify.
