Pinehaven Center is a homeless shelter for men, women, and children. Food, shelter, and are provided through Care Management Rehabilitation programs. Also, assistance is provided in achieving independent living. Fayette County residents are accepted. References must be provided to clinical director (Jennifer Cook), for those with substance abuse issues. Call for availability of shelter.

The Women's Resource Center provides temporary shelter for battered women and their children. Confidential and no charge for any service provided. Assistance in obtaining domestic violence petitions is also available. WRC provides counseling for abuse victims; parent education; legal assistance; support groups; parenting classes; visitation/exchange program which includes supervised visitation at a center located near the Raleigh County office; and a safe haven for exchange of children in potentially dangerous situations for parental visitation. Supervised visitation and exchanges are usually ordered by a Family Court Judge. Case management services that assist shelter residents with locating housing; items needed to furnish a home and employment assistance also available.
