Student of the dental hygiene program provide free adult and child dental cleanings and screenings; periodontal scaling and root planning, variety of X-rays (copies can be sent to primary dentist,) amalgam polishing; dental sealants; fluoride treatments; oral cancer screening; blood pressure screening; and oral hygiene education and instruction. Appointments scheduled August –thru December, Monday – Wednesday, and
January
thru May, Monday – Thursday. Must have
appointment.
Donated Dental Services
National
Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped Provides assistance in finding a dentist that volunteers dental services. Must meet medical guidelines such as disability, elderly or medically compromised, and have no other way of paying for dental care.
Health Check-DHHR
400 Virginia Street Medicaid eligible to children under age 21. Physical exams, dental, hearing, and vision services. Lab test, immunizations, treatment for health problems discovered during exams. Check of child’s growth and development. Follow up check up’s available also. Health education and guidance. Transportation assistance available. |
