GOVERNOR AWARDS PREVENTION GRANTS TO 18 PROJECTS Contact: Sara Payne Scarbro, 304-558-3830 or Laura Sarver, 304-766-6301 ext. 36 Charleston, W.Va. - Governor Joe Manchin today awarded $1,800,771.00 in prevention grants - Strategic Prevention Framework State Incentive Grants (SPF SIG) - for 18 projects statewide.
"These funds will provide essential support to our
communities, Gov. Joe Manchin said. "Through these grants, the local, regional
and state levels will better coordinate and improve their alcohol, tobacco and
other drug prevention programs. As a result, children and their communities
will be healthier and more vibrant."
